Wot's Doin'?

The year looks rosey and I am happy to say that there is going to be much dancing on Oahu to some beautiful music. But our blogs are still on shaky ground and I had to change the names on two of the blogs. Ritmo Mestizo is pending and I changed Blogging Hawaii to Dance And Live. Fortunately I received a major help with the opinions of our fellow dancers. Very few know that they can have a big influence on what and where of our dance blogs. Feedback is still almost unknown.

“Good social dancers are totally aware of themselves and dance their way
in a manner that is decided by their hearts."

With the diversity created in the past year with Web and Blog sites, the top Blog in our blogosphere has remained Town Dancer. They have been on top for over 20 years, with a large readership created by Calvin Ota. Nearing the end of the year Town Dancer has been going down, and was running neck and neck with Platinum Horseshoe. For some reason unknown to me at the moment, this year, Platinum Horseshoe is now holding on to first place, just a point or two but in front.

So it is quite evident that we will push for Social Dance and include the Line dancers too and there is going to be plenty of that. We should accept that our teachers on this Island are among the best and we need them. Street dancers still exist but let us face it, we can always use a little help. We are also increasingly accepting that our fellow dancers on this island are not destined to tear anyone down. We just accept that none of us is perfect. Except you of course!

"Social dancers do drink. Is the glass half empty, half full, or
twice as large as it needs to be?"
