update

Our present Hawaiian Blogosphere:
Our Dance Scene looking much better.

As in any endeavor to do anything, I invite everyone to it. Then "they" make the decision of joining or not joining. But it must be understood that "they" make the final decision and I merely abide by it. Some will have made that decision for entire groups or organizations, their privilege. I am hard of hearing but to be ignored is a very loud and clear statement and it should be easily understood. I have things to do and I must to be on my way.

pauses between the notes - ah, that is where the art resides!"
~Artur Schnabel

Our reorganization includes the following four top leaders:

Town Dancer: Downtown Honolulu and daytime dance news. Occasionally, it will contain news by Calvin Ota of outside competitions on the Mainland and even at Blackpool.  It also has Debra Ota and Richard Sun as Guest Authors. It will tend to have blogging for the higher class type dancers. This blog has been in the number one spot for a long time. It should be the first to go independent but it has been difficult to find those willing to share with their fellow dancers. Yes, that is Calvin and Debra, as the dance icons in the poster.

Blogging Hawaii: Now running quite a ways back of Town Dancer but in solid second place ahead of the other two blogs. Slightly more spread out than Town Dancer in local territory with the intent to include the neighbor islands. Just as difficult to find the Guest Authors but there is a chance to get one on a neighbor island. That would be a humdinger.

Oahu West: This section has emerged so prominently in dancing, from Mapunapuna to Pearl City, then went all the way to Kapolei. Now it will be including Central Valley readers, since that blog will be phasing out in the new set up. We just have to be careful not to bother people that would rather not be bothered. With some we just may start all over again and see what happens.

Ewa Bus Stop: Almost the same as Oahu West except that eventually it may include the territory all the way up the Waianae Coast. It also includes much of the anti Rail statements that appear in the local and national press. I look forward to that special guest author who frequents the night club action and brings back a word or two. This blog was running neck and neck with Oahu West in hits, but now behind, with Central Valley hits going mostly to Oahu West.

My top priority is the prospect of making one of "our" blogs into an independent blog with its own Administrators and Guest Authors before the year end. And it can join Franks blogs and Kauai as independents. And eventually all of the blogs should be independent with interlocking Guest Authors limited to maybe two blogs.

Then I can rest easy for there is a strong diversity of opinion in our dance environment and can be publicized frequently and the vicious lying cliques will recede into the background to a very minimal influence. The Recreational dancer will have more to say and we will have everything, "up front." Total number of dancers in our group will probably double (more dance clubs?) and there will be dancing on the entire Island.
