Clubbing

We don't accept from "anonymous" or "unkown" but we do accept a pen name because the readers want something. This one was from John Dough. Kaneohe. - Well, what are we gonna do?

I don't do much night clubbing, but I love to dance. I may have one drink but I don't really care about that. I don't like super-loud music (yeah, I know most clubs for the younger set have loud music.) But it would be nice to find a club with noticeably quieter loud music.

"We could be thankful for all the people in our lives, the good and the bad,
the past and the present. They all made us what we are today."

Do any people with a real appreciation of music let them know? I really enjoy dancing to all kinds of music particularly the "oldies but goodies" dance music. Fortunately that music seems to be available on Oahu. I don't mind newer stuff as long as it's not an all night gangsta rap club.

Rumours used to be ok, as a back-up to Nicholas Nicholas, but that was a very very long time ago. They did have the "big chill" with free pupus early friday evenings with an older crowd, but I don't know if they still have the pupus.

I had a friend that stayed at the Ala Moana Hotel for 10 days and could have gone to Rumours but passed, after watching the crew that went in and out (resting on a chair outside in the lobby at about 1 am).  There were quite a few weird looking people, cougars, gangsta looking types going in and out. At one other place he just checked at the door at about 10 pm to see if they still had free pupu's that he had heard about earlier And the girl at the door, did not even answer his question, and just said "no baseball hats allowed." She may have thought he was a gang member.
