I don't know about this blog. The others are just barely moving and this one is at a stand still. Of course, others that are not in our blogosphere are in bad shape too. Over dilution of the readership could be a factor and I am trying to augment the readership through my Facebook, Google+ and Twitter. I suppose I would know for sure at the end of this month. And maybe do a little more in here too.

Anybody There?
The Waianae boasts a huge selection of restaurants and dining experiences. Whether it's the famously simple Hawaiian plate lunch you crave, a grilled plate of fresh-caught local shrimp, the casual atmosphere of a lunch wagon or sandwich shop, or the sophistication of fine-dining restaurants, it's all right here.
More than 40 dining opportunities await you on the Waianae Coast and include Thai, Japanese, Chinese, Mexican, Hawaiian and Italian fare, as well as a broad selection of coffee shops, shave ice/snack stores, and bars. Then there are is Ko-Olina Resort.
Naturally, you can be rest assured that the bulk of fresh seafood, freshwater shrimp, meat, fruits, vegetables and breads served throughout eateries are mostlty the product of local farming. But unfortunately there are thousands of acres laying fallow for centuries. The owners want too much rent.
Another bad part of living in this Paradise is having to find a job on this side of the Island. And of course the worst thing of all, is the one is Honolulu. Auwe. I coulda been home in 20 minutes. Makaha is so close yet so far because the Present Rail Party needs the big bucks for the Rail Disaster. Millions and Millions of dollars in profits. At present one and half hour Makaha to downtown on the #93 bus. Almost three hours by the Rail Disaster. That is their version of Rapid Transit. It's the bread, Fred.

At the beautiful Waianae District Park is the largest dance floor
west of UH Manoa. We cannot find records of this beautiful
dance floor ever been used for dancing. Auwe.

Photos For Blogging
I said Blogging because that is what we do, but much of it can be applied to other media. We need photos just like anyone else. But I would never waste my time with Facebook, who gets 250 million photos per day.
A picture is worth a thousand words, we all know that saying. However two pictures are not worth two thousand words. They are worth much less. Then the amount of people in the picture. Midweek discovered this last year. On a scale of 1 to 10, one person picture is about a 1 and two people are worth about a 3 and so on. You may get five or six people worth a 9, but seven people will not get you any more than 9. And eight people is even worse. Nine people may drop down to 8 and so on. 20 people and you are back to a value of 1.
So the result of my studies for the last ten years are pretty clear to me. One photo of five or six dancers is just about perfection for any one of our blogs. Two photos with four or seven people would still be terrific for our readers. And there it is. In our blogs who is going to see the photos and in others, the same, who is going to see the photos there.
Which brings us the other necessary part of blogging, The Words. But your guess is as good as mine. Whatever photos are submitted, the descriptions of the surroundings are important and lend to fleshing out the blog. The whole thing boils down to a Two Center willing to contribute their viewpoint of the dancers. And fortunately every one will be different.

tomorrow awaits. As long as we have love, today is beautiful."

Street Dancer.
Old very respected term that has gradually lost it's luster with the popularity of the dance studios and the professional dance teachers who of course, could teach you the "correct" way to dance. Many in this century consider "street dancer" a derogatory term if applied to them.
For beginners we advise that to dance, the music is first - then you dance. In many places the norm is the movements in the dance first, then the music. Actually most do pretty good anyway, humans are dancers. But everyone is advised to acquire any knowledge available to them in the dancing fields. And in our blogs it should be possible to find what would be of interest to our fellow dancers who would like to learn.
Some groups already use DVD lessons just get ideas for new material and they practice with each other. This can be real social dancing and can evolve into Public Social dancing instead of the Private kind we have cultivated for so long. Da Reel Teeng!
People know the alphabet before they try to become proficient keyboard typists. Practice, not learning, is what makes them typists. The information that is available would teach the alphabet of dancing; practice is needed to become proficient dancers. Do not worry if you seem to have no rhythm or coordination in the beginning; these will come with practice.
Do not worry about stepping on each other's feet; if you use the proper hold, this will not happen. Sometimes you will find it possible to dance several kinds of ballroom dancing to a single piece of music.
But the leader, can interpret the music in his own way. Most ladies become very good and can follow just about anything. Are they better dancers than men? Of course.

If you have the love for the music, the information should make it even possible for a determined couple to teach themselves to dance without a teacher in the old fashion Street Style. It would also be possible for a group of interested people, without a teacher, to successfully form their own dance club, and teach themselves.

Slow Moving
I have gone to a few more places and tried to explain our kind of help with the blog. But they think I am selling something. We cannot blame them, that is what has happened to selling in the last few years. They try to scam you one way or another. On the Internet if it says free, be doubly careful. And of course the "Creative Researchers And Producers" are known for their lies.
"Our prime purpose in this life is to help others. And if you can't
So far there is only one place that accepts that fact that we are here to help. And that is Kokua Mao and they are there to help the community too. I tried all over Nanakuli, but it is no go. Once I even offered to take a picture of a "community center" and they recommended not to. Said it was a private place. How about that? A photo from the Street? Needless to say, I will never, ever darken their doors again.
The Waianae Coast Comprehensive Health Center is a non-profit organization governed by a community that addresses health disparities, improves population health, and reduces health inequalities despite financial and cultural barriers.
This Health Center looms as the biggest organization on the Waianae Coast. And they help an awful lot of people. WCCHC is a healing center that provides accessible and affordable medical and traditional healing services. It is a learning center that offers health career training to ensure a better future for our community. It is also an innovator, using leading edge technology to deliver the highest quality of medical services to our community.
This holistic approach to health care is realized through the organization's commitment to provide accessible, quality, and affordable, comprehensive health care, while preserving native Hawaiian culture and traditions in order to achieve complete wellness.
Pub's Side Note: Apparently no one knows of the freebies available to the readers of these blogs. If the last two of your Social Security Number are the same as those posted the item is yours and no other answers are required.

How about this? Can anyone ever imagine something like this someday. And for me I could get home in five minutes.

Fusion Exchange
Fushion Exchange also known as FX. We wrote them up a couple years back and we just came across them again now. They held their FX2014 at The Curtis Hotel in Denver, Colorado from January 10 – 12, 2014.
The Fusion Exchange is the premier event for fusion dancing. Founded in 2008, it is professionally run by a team of highly-skilled volunteer organizers. It was the first event of its kind and has continued to grow, lead, and innovate in the fusion genre. It has sparked an entire dance movement leading to local, weekly, and monthly dances, and regional and national events.
The 2013 Las Vegas Fusion Exchange was a huge success– with over 700 dancers from all over the US (and abroad), they danced for three straight days at the beautiful Alexis Park Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada. This year’s event venue was held at The Curtis hotel in Downtown Denver on January 10-12, 2014.
The Fusion Exchange offers daytime classes taught by some of the best instructors in the nation, and evening dances to a variety of music. By embracing many different dance styles, techniques, and inspirations, the Fusion Exchange helps dancers build a limitless dance toolkit to take social dancing to a new level. They teach Dancing “outside the box,” whatever that means, I am not up to date on this stuff.
Developing dance skills to make it possible to partner dance to any type of music, perhaps a dozen or so different kinds. And that is their only defect for our type of dance. We limit ourselves to a half a dozen or so dances. We are not advanced, deluxe dancers. We only move to the music of our choice. And we enjoy it year after year. Theirs is fine for them, but may we like ours?
Our own excellent American Style dance instructors are no dummies, they know dancing and some of our instructors have been applying these new principles for years. They had few disciplinary taboos and could go with their own gut opinions.
We are finding the similarities, while appreciating and celebrating the differences. We are recognizing dance styles, artistic expression, and the people themselves – to develop an inclusive approach. Promoting dance as an equal partnership and encouraging both leads and follows to actively contribute to the dance and inspire each other.
The Fusion Exchange is held in a different city every year, which is selected through a combination of attendee voting and organizer vetting. The event is embraced by the fusion dance community. It earns rave reviews and sells out quickly every year, usually in mere hours or minutes. Perhaps it will come to Hawaii next year.
