Refining Our Blogosphere

I have heard the word, "venue" on Oahu more than in most places. And it very nicely describes what they mean. The scene or setting in which something takes place, the locale.  For us it has been a place where groups of dancers could dance, drink, eat and be merry. The discotheque, the nightclub, the dance hall etc.

"You must look into other people as well as at them."

The dream in the mainland has been the studio - nightclub. In some places (very few) they have a Studio - Nightclub and a Restaurant. (The Granada in California) And commercially and locally, Dream to Dance Studio has led the way with their Saturday evening Salsa. The social dancers have found the dance floor terrific but just a little too small.

Now on Ward Ave, I have not been there but with more room and a good dance floor, from what I hear, they are developing the center for the International Style of dance. You can dine and dance with your peer group of International style dancers. The entire enchilada cannot lose and it could develop into a weekly thing, specially since they already have the reputation of having some of the best International dancers on this Island.

They spend a lot of money to learn competition dancing. Here they have the perfect place to practice and they can have a lot of fun dancing with their peers and bettering their level of dance. Not only that but they will not be contaminated by the ordinary common street and club dancers. The distinction has been repeatedly made and we concur.

Whatta Dream Place, in the Central Valley.

Before this year is over, it will be clear that the Rail Disaster cannot afford a Dance Pavilion in Waipio. Therefore someone will look over the terrain of Dream To Dance Studio and the one on Ward Ave. The conclusion will be a studio - club on the second floor of some building in the Waipio Business Park. And it will be our kind of dancing. Whatta deal! A win - win situation for everyone. They will even be coming from Waimanalo.

Pub's Side Note: No one in the West has discovered anything about the laptop computer we have on sale. It will be first come, first serve. Or whoever has the magic number gets it for free.
