Aiea

Aiea is the home of Pearlridge, Hawaii's largest enclosed shopping center and second largest shopping center in the state. It has become so well known that the area around the center is known as Pearlridge and extends well into Pearl city.

The mall is separated into two sections, known as Uptown and Downtown, and includes a monorail. There is a hospital located on mall property (Kapiolani Medical Center at Pali Momi), and Hawaii's largest watercress farm (Sumida Farm) is part of the landscape.

Aiea is also home to Aiea Shopping Center. The center's anchor stores include Times Supermarkets, McDonald's, Starbucks, and Jamba Juice. Aiea Chop Suey, Aiea Copy Center, Koa Pancake House, and L&L Drive inn are other businesses located in the center as well.

Only love and death will change all things but
change may bring opportunity.

There are two dance studios located in Aiea - Pearlridge. Nixon Performing Arts Center and Rosalie Woodson Dance Academy. Both have Ballroom dance classes but not very often. The population is there, and there have been some inroads but they remain somewhat private and exclusive.
