Blog Photos

The total average daily hits for my five dance blogs plus one outsider is still going up but very slowly. The dance Web sites do not have counters any more so the only way you can see anything is to figure it by the changes that occur. The Micros, like Twitter, Tumbler, Facebook and Pinterest have plenty of World Wide action each blog contains only a tiny amount of information. All of them are getting more pictures every day. Facebook gets 350 million photos daily. So our blogs are emerging slowly but surely and for us it pays to be local, Oahu is gonna be rolling.

"Social dancers take plenty pictures because they learn that half of them are blah."

I have fumbleitis and can no longer take photos like I used to. It is not like I was ever a "photographer" with a deluxe camera. It has always been just point and shoot camera, "you just push this little button to take the picture." I now take the camera to the dance functions that I am invited to and I pass it around. If I pass the camera to five people and each one gets five pictures, I get a good cross section of the dancers at the party. I also try to get four or five written opinions from anyone attending.

The temporary photographer may take whatever and whoever they want, however there may be a few suggestions. Stay steady as you can when you click and it may help to keep your photos in good focus. You won’t have to worry about shaky photos because you’ve been holding your camera too long. Two persons are better than one. I make collages of six photos each and I usually can get three collages in one blog. For the benefit of everyone, 36 people in the blog is twice as good as 18. And three is better than two? However, 12 is not better than eleven. From that, we can get our blogs with some good photos of the attendees. For the ultimate benefit of everyone.

"Don’t say you don’t have enough time. You have exactly the same number of hours
per day that were given to Helen Keller, Pasteur, Michelangelo, Mother Teresa,
Leonardo Da Vinci, Thomas Jefferson and Albert Einstein."
