Da Bus and the Rail

I live in Nanakuli and I went to town, about noon, on the C bus. It was packed to the gills. Everyone of the passengers on that bus understood one thing perfectly, we need more buses. Old ladies standing from Waianae to town should be illegal. What happened to the Department of Transportation? They just can't cut it anymore. The rail ain’t gonna do nuttin’ for us, even if it cost ten billion dollars.

I got the #93 bus in town, coming back to Nanakuli. Most everyone sitting and comfortable, and I was home in less than an hour. The Rail ain’t gonna beat that in a million years. And everyone understands that there are fifty cars in front of the bus missing because the drivers are sitting "comfortable" in the  bus. The lady sitting next to me lives right across the street from the first bus stop in Honokai Hale. She also understood about those gangsters lying about Ben Cayetano. More people are becoming aware of their crooked methods. And Dan Inouye has said nothing. Remember what a great guy he was in his time?

And some dumb dodos still want the rail? We can understand the ones spending millions to lie about Ben Cayetano. They intend to make make Billions and Billions of dollars in profits on the Rail. And everyone of the passengers understands what is happening completely. Very few in the Department of Transportation even remotely understand this. You can see by the results of the mess they have made now in Honolulu Transportation. Auwe! Ten years ago, fine, but now, down, down, down. Tourists taking the bad news back home with them.

San Francisco, been there, done that. The most terrible thing that ever happened to a city.
Low ridership, high maintenance, horrible looking. They tore it down.  They found out
that people preferred riding the bus. Now, nice and beautiful.

Our Department of Transportation is last century thinkers, not this century thinking. Every Department of Transportation on the Mainland is concentrating on getting people away from their cars on streets and highways. And get them to use Public Transportation. It is not going to happen the way it is being done in Honolulu now. Only the users understand this. Very few of the outsiders. Rail will only screw things up.
