Slowly

Starting from Makaha we have a dedicated group, Zion Ipuka, of mostly young people that come to Nanakuli every Tuesday evening from 5 to 6 pm. They invite anyone who wishes to partake in their  party food to do so. I try to help with whatever.

but if we focus on results, we may get Change."

Then there was the founding of Mākaha Studios which was a result of the success of Searider Productions, the acclaimed integrated journalism and multimedia program at Waiʻanae High School. Many of the present employees have roots in SP, went on to college, gained professional work experience, and returned home to practice their craft. They are a big help to the community.

I had them on my Twitter, then I tried to contact them by phone to see if I could help them, but they never returned my call. I figure they must be too busy for help from me, so I cut off all contact. I am busy too and I must be on my way. Perhaps, next year.

Searider Productions is going strong and everybody on the Waianae Coast knows about them. They are on a couple of my Twitter accounts. And Waianae Mall on Facebook is doing just fine and most people will read their posts. Good information about the community. Perhaps I can make a connection later, they will all use this blog to convey information. We will be Social Media.

Western Stories, the monthly publication is also doing their good work disseminating good neighborhood information for the good of everyone. I tried the same thing as with Makaha Studios with the same results. Perhaps next year.

Apparently upper Waianae is doing just fine and there is only one thing lacking, the Industrial Park. Farrington Highway is still much too crowded in the morning going to Honolulu. And it is much too crowded coming home in the afternoon. They have a beautiful saying in Waianae on getting a job in Waianae, "I coulda been home in 20 minutes." The Ivory Towers in Honolulu do not have a clue.
