Development

So now we are down to five blogs, in a plateau of average per day hits, that is moving very slowly up. All I can do for now is a little promoting in Word Press, Twitter, Pinterest, Tumblr, Google + and Facebook. The readers can help with a few Information and Photo contributions along the way. This is turning out to be more fun. Won't somebody out there join in? No registration or registration fees, no annual or monthly meeting or dues and you contribute (not money) but whatever info or fotos you want, whenever you damn well please. All for your clubs, groups and fellow reader/dancers. A win-win situation.

“Social dancers like to dance from the heart, smile
and let their passion shine through”

Never did find out why they closed Rumors, but of course, some clubs are doing good and some not so good and we don't know why. We need more feedback with ideas and suggestions. Perhaps it might help. Dancers have had a reputation for long time of not being drunks. Some clubs will go for all the possible customers. Some will have a select group, such as the Bachata Salsa crowd or the Country music scene. Some recognize the natural divisions of the young and the older more experience night club attendees.

The famous Palladium is still going strong, the last of the Big Ballrooms. In the last century, the top five clubs at the Palladium were well known. Now the number five has dropped to sixth and six has moved up to fifth. There will be another club for town in 2019 and perhaps one in either Waianae or the North Shore. We are getting more "social" dancers on Oahu. And perhaps the dancers will pick some other terminology for our type of dance.

“Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a gift of God,
which is why we call it the present.”
