This Week

Things are rolling pretty good even if so many are on vacation. Classes are doing very well and I am glad HBDA has got Mambo on the Agenda. Many of the "in" people have worshipped on the altar of Salsa a long time and are not aware that it has definitely peaked.

"Blogging is using a new medium for what it is good for - connecting and interacting."

And Salsa Aficionados repeat it often enough. "Forget about reviving the relic of Mambo." So what do I know? I am as limited as most others. But there is a growing interest in Latin Music And Dance. (And I do mean "Latin Music.") This definitely includes, Rumba and Cha Cha Cha and Latin Waltz (Da bodadem.) Could include Mambo?

Meanwhile, we have the Ohana Dance with HBDA coming up this week. And Paul Billington made a nice invite in the Blogging Hawaii blog.

However, most people think it is only for HBDA members. But I have been informed, (perhaps erroneously) that it is open to the public for a small cover But there does not seem to be any information easily available.

"How Do You Mend A Broken Heart?" by Bee Gees

Met a UH student that gets the #94 bus at Sinclair Circle in Manoa at 5:05 and gets home to Kapolei near Kamanaha at 6:13. The rail ain't gonna beat that in a million years. Gonna take an hour to get to the Rail Station, find parking and then wait for the next train. But Caldwell, PRP, Boylan and company are gonna cut that bus out soon, you can bet on that. It's the money, Sonny. This friend of mine now is aware that she has to buy a car, she is not going to put up with that Rail Crisis Crap. She knows, It's the bread, Fred.
