Evolving Blogs

I have done some research and there is not much covering small blogs in the strictly social media style. Most are commercial or cover big readerships numbering in the hundreds of thousands. Most of our dance web and blogs sites in Hawaii are in the single digit average hits per day. That is less than 300 hits per month.

"Stop letting people that do so little for you, control so much of your feelings and emotions."

A Guest Author in any of our blogs does not require much commitment but they must be recognized by Blogger in order to open, write and publish dance information. There is even less commitment in being a Two Center, and some people are realizing that they can use it. It is after all for the benefit of everyone so long as dance information is being shared including photos.

"The World Is Waiting For The Sunrise" by Les Paul and Mary Ford.

The easy part is that they can just email photos and a few comments and the Guest Authors will most likely comply and post it their way in their blogging and it does benefit everyone. Along with this has come the Guest Photographer. This is turning out to be a new thing. I have not seen anything written on it so it has just emerged in our blogging.

Blogger's Law #63a: "As soon as you delete a worthless file, you'll need it."

For sure, the different points of opinion are very highly valued in blogging. This includes my opinion of who to take a picture of with the camera in my hand. And others have the own opinions. Susan Matsumoto got some terrific photos at the Kapolei Chapter HBDA social. The hits went through the roof. Willy Dionisio sent in his own plus comments for a second blog. Kapolei Social Dance blog is now in third place behind Blogging Hawaii. Oahu West had been there from the beginning,

So we are in effect discovering new paths and having fun while at it. Fortunately we are getting much new blood in the dance environment able to think for themselves. There is an increasing amount of dancers that are becoming aware of the fun in sharing with our fellow dancers. It is growing and I look forward to seeing the first of "my" blogs to go independent. And what blog is it going to be it?

Woodrow Wilson was once asked how long he took to prepare a ten minute speech. He said, "about two weeks." "How long to prepare an hour speech?" "about one week." "And for a two hour speech?" "I''m ready now."
