Second Post

This blog is moving very good. Google has picked up on it already and the blog has been getting a little something to say. Like "Dance Blogs" it is mainly Public Relations for the rest of the our dance blogosphere.

The hits on our entire blogosphere are going higher. But I am still convinced that the future is in the Two Center. That one person that is willing to share any dance information of their particular kuleana. with the rest of our friends in our dance environment. That will blow our dance blog atmosphere out into the Pacific Basin.Those that wish to keep it a private matter, for whatever the reason shall be respected.

Very nice to hear that the Creative Researchers And Producers are losing their importance in our entire dance environment. With enough Two Centers they will become obsolete and we will listen to the people instead of lying crap.

Revived Blog, Issue One

I have revived the old Dance Blither and renamed it for what it is going to do, Dance Promotion. and in the beginning it will be to promote the bottom blogs in hits. The top ones will be doing just fine. Most of the outside promotion will be to Twitter, since it is proving more than adequate.

The scam spam robot hits are disappearing so that I am going to reinstate the posted hits again on the top blogs for all to see. I will also ask for Ad Sense from Blogger (advertising) and see if that doesn't call for robot hits. So what do I know? I will polish this blog little by little. Mahalo.

It is just because things seem to be rolling good and in the right direction. Makaha Studios is doing just fine with their Wai'anae Daily, terrific Job. Westside Stories with the scoop of the day, in Twitter, the accident in Nanakuli and including a photograph. Wow. Waianae Mall on Facebook doing its usual good job too.

We are so fortunate that on the Waianae Coast, with all their faults, we have some of the best people in the Pacific. We have our losers on drugs and the homeless but we will find ways to better the situation. We can feel sorry for them but we can still help.

Then there is the famous Tamura Super Market.

They have kept the prices very reasonable instead of taken the undue advantage of being out here in the sticks. They could have been gouging the residents for all the market would bear. At the same time they have kept the other super market chains out simply because their prices are very competitive. People from Waianae not so dumb.

The rest is all there on our beautiful beaches and the ocean with some of the best surfers in the world. So how was your bus trip? Yeah, I know, never again. Gotta fix that ole bucket. "Cattle Cars are not for humans." And a bike is doing all right if I don't have to go too far. And People on the North Shore resent the fact that they have to pay through the nose for the Rail Disaster. How about Waianae? 

Valley Action

You don't really need to be the best dancer in the room to have a great time! If you want to maximize your social dancing fun, you simply need to become "average" in your area and take your time in getting there. Try to enjoy the journey all the way. You do not need to be the outstanding super star, just part of the dance crowd is fine. The rest of the fun is dining, drinking and socializing with friends, just being part of the fun group.

Many beginners walk into night clubs and quickly get discouraged when seeing some of the leads with years of experience. It seems like they are having all the fun, and many believe you have to be a near pro to have a great time. During beginners hell, (for some) -- that point where you can't remember much beyond the basic steps -- it seems like you need to earn some status to get the great dances. Through the new guy eyes it looks like such a daunting task.

Not so! Just ask around with your friends and most moves are very basic and the main thing is the music. Why do you think the oldies and goodies are in such favor? Da Moosic! And you just want to move to that music. This is for ordinary run of the mill social recreational dancing. Competition and Exhibition dancing are quite a different story. And of course, some of the night club action is getting just a little too Rootzi-Tootzi.

The Internet

Pub's Note on the Internet: Most of us, if we aren’t just now crawling out of our caves for the first time, understand that if a Nigerian big shot needs your help to move a large sum of money out of the country, it is a scam. And they are coming out with new ones everyday.

We know not to trust people who ask for our social security numbers or tax IDs, we know not to give out our banking information and we know not to download, buy or even look at suspicious things we get in email. If it says free, be specially careful.

The Internet has made us all a bit more wary of being scammed but that doesn’t mean that there aren’t a few cons out there taking in otherwise bright intelligent people. When presented with any deal, stop for a minute and try to figure out what the other side gets out of it.

If you think about the deals you are offered, your odds of getting suckered goes down drastically. In the end, the reason people get taken in by scams isn’t because they are stupid or foolish, but because they didn’t think for one crucial moment and made a bad decision. That can happen to any of us and that is why we have to always be on our guard.

When it comes to deals that are too good to be true, they almost always are. And some Credit Card companies are in the deal too. Be very careful. Of course, this also means that some people don't trust our blogosphere. "You are doing this for free?" Yes, I know, it cannot be true. Be careful, just ask around and you will find out, and you will come to your own delusions.

Blog Update

The first dozen days of March have been very revealing in my data analysis, with just about everyone faintly aware that there are many dance blogs now. Town Dancer is still head and shoulders above any other and definitely due to the Guest Authors. So it is leading the way for all our blogosphere.

Blogging Hawaii, Oahu West and Kapolei Social Dance are the three scrambling for second place. They alternate back and forth and the difference will not come about until one of them gets the Guest Author. Fortunately they have all been picked up by the search engines and that helps. I have also included them prominently in the Micros.

So it was becoming quite apparent that Town Dancer would be the one to be first in getting independence.  However the additional Guest Authors have not been there. With two more, I could phase myself out and they would have a blog that no one in the entire Pacific Basin could match.

Meanwhile I could be having a ball with plenty of time to polish the rest of the enchilada. Fortunately the feedback is almost immediate in the hits and it seems as though Blogger has found out how to eliminate scam spam robot hits from the counters. From there, I have to get around more making more contacts.

The "Good People" have surfaced with many problems for many months. I tried to make it simple and not too specific but I finally had to skip it and this year I have waited to get feedback from the reader/dancers. I assure you they know what they are talking about and they will let me know.

Paso Doble? Fogadaboudit! When was the last time you and your partner dropped into some night club for a little Paso Doble?

Apparently others know more about it but not me. I may try it again in Oahu West blog. I think it would be the perfect place to test a gimmick like this for the benefit of all the reader/dancers. Really very simple and it should be easy. I pick the first good ones, (my opinion) and they in turn pick the next ones. Should be simple enough. Every month we get a new one and it will be someone else's opinion. This will be our social media.

That should be simple enough and hopefully there will be a minimum of interference from the "Big Wheels." The aim should always be for the benefit of the reader/dancers. We seem to be getting more feedback from the people and they are the ones that count.
