Live Music on Oahu.

I have been expecting the hits on this blog to stay steady because of the competition but I am astounded that this blog on live music is averaging more than 20 hits per day. Most ordinary Web sites for dance groups on Oahu are in single digit average hits per day. Blogs do much the same if they are only for one small group. An ordinary blog that covers a few places may get under 20. My personal blog Dancing in the Dark is well over the 33 average hits per day which is 1000 hits per month. I have counters which are not that all accurate.

"Life is very short and what we have to do must be done now."

Meanwhile, the dancers on Oahu can look at their "social circles" and quickly realize that West Oahu has a very good connection to dancing people. And if you look at some of the definitions for social media, you get things like "content created by people using highly accessible and scalable publishing technologies," "a category of sites that is based on user participation and user-generated content." - Gawd! - Extrava Danza blog "coulda been a contendah." Comments are a good beginning.

Blogs are still relatively new on Oahu and the fans are not sure of what they can do. Extrava Danza does not require you to log into an account and none of our blogs do. Any one can tune into any of our blogs whenever they wish but it is all gotta be your thing. You decide. Feedback provides you with the opportunity to contribute information and/or photos to be published in any of our blogs, any time you wish with no further commitments. And all for the benefits of your own personal kuleana. You will know who the readers are. Then, if and when a person formerly joins any of our blogs as a Guest Author then that person soon realizes that they are part of our social network.

But they also know that they have no daily or weekly commitment. They write whenever they damn well please. And we will have "social media." And the more the merrier with many different opinions. No Blogger followers are needed and we need more women information contributors and we need more men dancers. So all we can do is try to even the sexes up a little. Our dancing blogs give us our own voice on the internet.

"Social Dancers know that you are never too old to set another goal
or to dream a new dream."
