Night Club Dancing

Night Clubs are always working to get everybody into their clubs. Drink and dance up a storm - have a good fun night and come again soon. Sounds pretty good but that isn't so simple. Most dancers know that some clubs have a younger group with the preference of the many up to date song hits provided by good DJs. Some clubs have an older more experience group of dancers with a preference for live music, and they can dance to more of the "oldies but goodies." Fortunately there are hundreds of those.

"Social dancers, dance as though EVERYBODY is watching. They march to
the beat of their own drummer and stubbornly refuse to fit in.”

Many night club owners are beginning to know that they must find other ways of income beside the sales of booze. And give the customer more of what they expect. Dancers have a reputation of not being drunks but they want to dance and socialize. Would be nice to stick something in evening that would cater to their wish to socialize. It well known, when you dance you get thirsty. Water if nothing else available. They love juice of all kinds and many dance clubs on the Mainland have juice bars that make almost as much money as the liquor bar.

Another is food. Dine and Dance has been known through the ages. All the social dance clubs on Oahu have a pot luck and most are very good and very well appreciated. However in Night Club dancing, formats of a sit down dinner is not it. Many have potato chips, mixed nuts, pretzels and such that can be sold by machines. Pu pus cut small and anything that can be eaten with chop sticks would go over well.

"Social dancers believe that happiness is not the absence of problems,
it's the ability to deal with them.”
