West Oahu is moving.

"Happy are those who dream dreams and are ready to pay the price to make them
come true. - Blogging is becoming an art, same as any other method of self
expression but it is not a contest, some will be better at it than others."

Now that I live in Mililani, right in the middle of the entire enchilada of West Oahu, I am developing a nice viewpoint. There are an awful lot of things going in our dance circles in this section but for sure not many have been able to tell us much. There may be some blank points of view, but fortunately there are also a lot of points of view in this territory and with an opinion. That is what we need in this blog. Sooner or later they will come around to realize that we just want to help, and it is very distinctive from whatever else they have had.

"Vision Of Love" by Mariah Carey  1990

I am able to get some information from the internet and when I am invited I try to go to a party personally and get sometime to blog'em right. If I go to some function, it will be productive for all involved. I do not intend to waste my time or of any others. I am trying to get everyone to understand that our blogs are not "instead of" anything. We are "in addition to" whatever they have now. Meanwhile, we can certainly help the independent dance organizations or those that would like to feel independent. The studios and the big social dance clubs are not yet aware of the benefits of blogging,

The big dance groups have beautiful Web sites and that seems to be the solution to all their PR problems. Blogging is still relatively new in Social Dance. It is getting to be pretty certain that those that have Web sites do not feel the need of any connection with a blog site. And that is their privilege. So we must target those that do not have a Web site and help them as much as we can. A good example is a social at Wahiawa Ballroom Dance club. We have averages per day from our counter, nice. Then I post WBDC in the blog including three collages of photos and the hits go through the ceiling.
