What Snew?

From an old Quote:

Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many. Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books.

'Stranger In Paradise" by Tony Bennett

Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders. Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations. But after observation and analysis in your life, you find that anything agrees within reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it.

With all our faults we are gradually getting there, all of us. And the Western part of this island is looking good in spite of the Rail Disaster. We will do what we can for the benefit of all our people, not just for the select few out to make a buck. And we are all becoming aware of who they are.

"Don't Let The Stars Get In Your Eyes" by Perry Como

The "Place" to dance in the West is still there for us to find. And we all know it does not require an acre of dance floor. We can be very happy with one quarter the size of the famous Palladium in Honolulu. The West is also understanding of the fact that we wish to live, work and play in our grounds not someone else's.

The schools have made it very difficult under someone's instructions and we must see what we can do to make good contact with the Community Centers and District Parks. With a good size floor space, we could even find ways of installing a good danceable dance floor and pay for it with the following fund raisers. It has been done on the Mainland.

"This is good - life must continue, we are fighting barbarians, but we must remain human."

So there it is, from Kalihi and all the way to Makaha. Just waiting for us and so many can enjoy living in Paradise. The Rail Crisis? Later for them - much later. Dancing is good for the body, mind and soul, just ask any dancer. It is also a great way to contact more people and socialize in a civilized manner.
