I thought there would be less blog reading and I have been somewhat lax in posting. But the reader hits still there. Had nice Year End Party at Kokua Mao Work Center in Nanakuli. Made a reasonable blog with lousy photos. But I have my eye on the Thrift Shop in Makaha next. Slowly but surely.

Kokua Mau Party
Woke up late on this nice Monday morning, got a cuppa coffee and got on the computah. Checked my email and the other blog info. Showered, got ready and was at Kokua Mau about 11:15 AM. Most things were still in process and we were getting a good variety of nice people.
Went back and forth from my place, getting absent minded but I got most things going eventually. I was hoping someone would know how to operate my android. And I was fortunate. Got a few photos. Even the best four were lousy and so many good people. But hopefully you can all see we need some good photographs.
Most have the photos on a memory card. Just send it to me by Email and I will post to the blog of your choice.
At least I learned something. The complete opening of the lens had to be done manually. But I had put a little oil and after a few photos it opened and closed very nicely. I just did not notice that the lens were still blurry. I should have cleaned them.

update
Not looking too bad. All points fairly smooth, including the scam spam robot hits. Plenty of New Year's Eve parties, so people are intent on having fun. Hope they have a safe one. We still await the Two Centers, perhaps in January. I need some help with these blogs to get rid of the best one. It will be Town Dancer or Blogging Hawaii. first one that gets four Guest Authors and over one hundred average hits per day. I can coach, and resign and they can continue on their merry way independent.

Mickey Mouse Blogging
Blogger seems to point to Microsoft and Microsoft says it is Google's fault. But it seems like nobody knows. Some blame outside malware but the truth seems to be that the Blogger programmers just ain't got it. These other people are running all over them. Same thing with the scam spam robot hits. No one knows from nothing. That is for sure. Blogger gives too much credit to the "new" department and they continually screw up the maintenance department.

Social Media
Social media refers to interaction among people in which they create, share, and/or exchange information and ideas in virtual communities and networks. So far in our dance blogs it is SOS. (same old shit.) The Two Centers and the Guest Authors being the obvious solutions.
Furthermore, social media may depend on mobile and web-based technologies to create highly interactive platforms through which individuals and communities share, co-create, discuss, and modify user-generated content. They may introduce substantial and pervasive changes to communication between organizations, communities, and individuals.
Social media differ from traditional/industrial media in many ways, including quality, reach, frequency, usability, immediacy, and permanence. There are many effects that stem from internet usage. According to Nielsen, internet users continue to spend more time with social media sites than any other type of site.
Much of the criticism of social media is about its exclusiveness, (Newsletter, Web sites) as most sites do not allow the transfer of information from one to another, disparity of information available, issues with trustworthiness and reliability of information presented, concentration, ownership of media content, and the meaning of interactions created by social media.
However, it is also argued that social media have positive effects such as allowing the democratization of the internet while also allowing individuals to advertise themselves and form friendships.

Blogging Frequency
I don't know about others but on my ten I got it pretty close for the coming year. Most of the time they will be skipping two days. Some will skip three days and Dance Blither will be about once a day. From there the most needed item is the Two Center and I will have to try more in Google+, Twitter and Facebook. Those people write and perhaps I can get one that lives on Oahu.
Old Year, New Year
"What's new about the New Year? The New Year is not just a ritual.
It is the celebration of new hopes and dreams. It is an opportunity
to start with a clean slate. The New Year offers us an opportunity
to introspect and anticipate."
Has been done in other places, but Hawaii???
Could be right in front of Nanakuli. Old cars, then old tires over the cars, then big rocks, then gravel, then dirt and you have an island.
"Be always at war with your vices, at peace with your neighbors,
and let each new year find you a better person."

From Tracey
Nice Christmas greeting from my granddaughter Tracey with a picture of her son Jacob. I believe that kid is related to me. I am glad to a get a little news now and then. It helps to know the relatives are doing just fine.
They got the packages I sent so I am just fine there. Now I have to check all the others. I am having fun and enjoying it if I am helping in my old age. Merry Christmas everyone.

Face It.
Blogger does a very good job with everything they have to do. However, we must accept that they are not perfect. Many things can go wrong and they do. The biggest goof up at the moment is their failure to control scam spam robot hits. Well, if they cannot control them, they could at least ignore them in the counter. Otherwise the counters are useless, so they are excluded in our blogs.
Year Coming To A Close
Nice blogging by Calvin and it shows in the hits. We are still looking for the Two Centers who can eventually become Guest Authors. The benefits of this approach also include recognition of Public Relations as an integral part of the management team of the clubs and the blogs, though most will be working independently and each blog will be their own unique blog.
This is an opportunity to flex our understanding of blogging, its operations, strategy, and internal culture beyond the gloss and glow of status statements. Indeed, a blog’s communication objectives are motivated by (if not the same as) its social objectives.
That and our ability to measure the impact on the amount of bloggers we provide will be essential to playing a bigger role in dance circles and access to greater resources. A blog with 5 or 6 six Guest Authors can hit 300 average hits per day, (15000 per month.) That should be very good coverage for the Hawaiian Islands.
America's liberal class are abuzz right now over Narco Cultura, a documentary about Mexico's horrific drug wars and the musical movement that has risen around it. These libs (and more than a few conservatives) are telling each other and the two Mexicans they know about how Mexican music nowadays glorifies the drug trade.
And there is some truth to it. How artists do write songs for narcos on commission, how musicians go on stage with AK-47s, bulletproof vests, and bazookas, (exaggerations) and how those songs revel in being as gory as possible--and how terrible all of this is. It is bad, most of us believe but the people (the important ones) are beginning to realize what is wrong and they will make the decisions.
Of course, the laws in the US are what make the drug wars all over. Same as the racketeering we had when Prohibition was the law. With the laws repealed everything would be done the way liquor is done and controlled by law. And people do not drink more nor will they take more drugs either.
"Become a possibilitarian, no matter how dark things seem to be or actually are, raise your sights and look for the possibilities - You will alway see them, for they are always there."

Not received as poster. I had to use print screen and touch it up with Photoshop. Posters are easy, just wham, wham and wham. We cannot do what one person tells us to do. But we can certainly hear what many of you say and then we must move accordingly. Mahalo.

Still Guessing
But I hope I guess right. The Total Hits on the blogs are coming down. First I know that many of the robot scam spam hits are coming down. But the reason the totals are not coming down so fast now is that the regular legitimate hits are going up. One of the reasons is the increase in use of the micro blogs like Twitter, Google+ and Facebook. All for the promotion of our blogs. I even have three Twitter accounts and I am learning more on the use of Twitter. Quite a bit to it.

As human beings, our job in life could be to help people realize how rare and valuable each one of us is. Each of us has something no one else has or ever will have - something inside that is unique to all time. And your view point from that side of the dance floor is sure to be different than mine. It could also be part of our lives to encourage each other to discover that uniqueness and to provide ways of developing its expression.
Getting a message across has never been easier but being heard has never been harder. The new currency in the democratized world of digital media is content creation, info and pics. The goal is to create content that is relevant, resonates, and is real. That’s an advantage for Blog PR; after all we don't build your names on the catchy slogans that almost everyone in advertising now mocks in derision – if they’re even paying attention to them. Come on folks. use it.
I am not all doom and gloom about the situation. Public Relations has the most valid underpinnings for success in our endeavor. Our aptitude and appetite for qualitative research is second to none and we make progress to connect to opinion leaders to acquire insights about perceptions, attitudes, and behaviors that analytics can’t.
We just need the Two Centers and their unique opinions, a great start. Technology can’t replicate the quality human connections or metaphysical experiences that people crave and that will become even more evident as this machine age advances.

Looking Up
It seems a little better, though the robot scam spam hits on the Blogger Stats still goofing up the works there. I have one test, outside counter, and their programmers are able to omit Robot hits. Terrific. Blogger Programmers still do not have the know how. We must be patient and wait, they couldn't be that stupid, perhaps another month or so. A good, clean, honest counter would seem like a miracle.

Latin Night Club
They have them on the Mainland but never one on the Islands. Latin music and dance as it is danced in most of the highly populated cities in Latin America. Latin Waltz, Rumba, Cha Cha Cha, Brazilian Samba and American Tango. The rest is varied according to the country. Take a couple years yet, the Rail Disaster messed everything up for everybody.
A Good Beginning
Hooray, we got the first approval of a small industrial park in Lualualei. This is spite of all the Present Rail Party and their paid protestors. The city council using some sense. Even if only employing one thousand workers and mostly at minimum wage.
The do-gooders think they are doing good when they talk about mostly minimum wage jobs. They talk statistics like most Ivory Towers and never think about the people. Minimum wage for the residents in the area know that minimum wage in Laulualei is worth ten times what it is worth in Honolulu. Big secret unknown to the Ivory Towers. And "I coulda been home in 20 minutes." The 403 Nanakuli bus doing just fine, could have 30 cars missing right in front of each of them.
For those that must go to downtown Honolulu, the Articulated buses would have been the perfect answer. Each one could be missing one hundred cars right in front of them. The drivers? "Sitting Comfortably" in the bus. But the Ivory Towers do not understand "sitting comfortably" They are spouting 'bottom lines" and betray the ignorance of the real situation. Few people know that Vapid Transit will take longer than what we have now.
But, of course, important to the Present Rail Party is the Big Bucks in gravy train profits. All those mainlanders that are being imported are in this scheme. Easy money, and these local yokels can be taken. Starting with the Czar. Every bus driver out there knows more about public transportation on Oahu than Grabauskaus will ever know. But those mainlanders know the Governor (a nothing) the Mayor (another nothing) so take both their salaries and that is about right for the new Czar. Not enough? How about another 100 thousand for living and automobile expenses. And more gravy, they just gave him a 25000 dollar bonus. You'd bettah believe it! It's Easy Money.
Even the Universities on the Mainland are instructing on the "Easy Money" in Honolulu. And who is going to pay for this mess? The people on the Waianae Coast will be first. These local yokels can be taken.
"It is always good to know, if only in passing, nice human beings. It refreshes one like flowers and woods and clear brooks."
