Makaa Alii Ballroom Dancers

I hadn't been there in years and they don't know what happened to me, so I had to make the effort and go see them on their Valentine Ball. Held on Thursday, and with Dance Director, Tad Fukumoto, presiding.

They had opened the doors at 5 pm and with a few people there, Tad as MC gave them a hearty welcome and when I got there they were lining up for the what looked like an ono pot luck. And thought I got a couple pictures but I found out later that the batteries were down - nothing.

I tried to find someone that could operate the other camera but no luck. I tried to find someplace to buy some batteries but no one knew of any place nearby. Tad had a camera but no way to get the pictures to me because he is not on the Internet.

I left before 8 pm because I had to get the last Express bus from Ala Moana Center and I missed the goodies. They had exhibition dances, Mambo by Kenneth and Fusako, Merengue by Huong and Christie and Jive by Tad and Kathy. May have to stay later next time, just to get these pictures.

After honoring the dancers, they had general dancing until 9 pm, then door prizes and the last dance was at 9:30 pm. I, at least got some quotes which are necessary for social media. So next time I must plan on staying later and taking the slow boat to china back home. Or if someone can email the pictures, it can be much sooner.
