The Nine Blogs

I haven't been up to it for a few days but the blogs are not losing too much. I am pulling the entire enchilada back a few notches, anyway, to let them lead the way. Still looking good but it is not going stay that way. Town Dancer will be the one to remain as eligible to go independent, possibly before the end of the year.

Doesn't "expecting the unexpected" make the unexpected expected?

The hits on Town Dancer are way ahead of anything that maybe in second place. And that is because of the Guest Authors in Town Dancer, Calvin and Debra Ota and Richard Sun. All the rest of the blogs are resting comfortable in the 30 hit range because that is about as far as I can carry a blog by myself. One Guest Author that can post once a week would double the hits, guaranteed.

On the East we have Oahu East and the East Ko'olau Blog. Either one that can get the Guest Author to post once a week, will establish the future of blogging for the area. And on the West we have four blogs. Sea Country, Oahu West, Central Valley and Ewa Bus Stop. Same thing there. The one that gets the Guest Author that can post once per week, will double the hits and it will be on its way.

"Get Off Of My Cloud" by the Rolling Stones

Social Media is not well understood yet. Too many are still thinking about the big bucks that are being made blogging. They just don't know and it could be that they don't want to know. Most blogs are social media and our dance blogs will remain so. There will be more clubs and we may be able to help where it is needed. They will have to make that decision. And I intend to do everything I can to reduce my work in all the blogs. Just have to find the right people to turn it over to.

Ya lives and ya learns! Calvin has, with his blogging on the International scene, helped many of our developing International dancers to have fun with the self-discipline and strength of character to function in a competitive world. The reader/dancers too, have been interested to understand that outside world in places about as far as you can get from here.

"Twist And Shout" by the Beatles

If you read dancing club newsletters, you know they mean well. But notice how nothing ever goes wrong. Many of our web and blog sites retain the same molds. All the dancers danced perfectly. All were of championship caliber, ad nauseum.

We will get Bloggers on these blogs with their own opinions and will they differ from mine? You can bet your dancing shoes on that. Some clubs and some studios sincerely believe that you must never say anything negative about anything in writing. the results have been the Creative Researchers And Producers the most powerful clique ever developed on the Island of Oahu. So what has happened, and I quote from a mainland publication:

“We have been spoon feeding, stroking egos and discouraging intellectual
and emotional growth in our dance world.”

Now, let's dance.
