WBDC Masquerade Ball

Terrific opportunity for me to get ready to attend the Christmas dance of Wahiawa Ballroom Dance Club at  Halemano Plantation. And at noon I started getting ready for the excursion. Got to get my clothing in order and paper and pencils for any quotations I may get from the attendees. The camera was ready and hoping some people  will take some pictures for the blog. The Handi-Van was a little late but I got to the dance before six. And they had a nice crowd already going.

"It's the annual Wahiawa Dance Club party, 2018. Dancing is a gift
just like the reason for the season," ~ Pauline.

"My wife and I are grateful for what we are and have great friends."
Rod and Rosalie

Said my hellos to all the nice people there. And looking around you cannot find a better group. Diverse ethnics, ages, backgrounds and outlook, but all friends and still lovers of the kind of dancing that we do. Maile as per usual the hostess with mostest and leading the ceremonies. The terrific music by Leland Yagi was floating and we all know it as the best. The usual social dancing that is danced on this island but of course here we have a little bit more.

"Aiea Ballroom Dance Association members are enjoying ourselves at the Wahiawa Ballroom Dance Christmas Party. Lots of happy people and sharing joy together,"
~ Stephanie and Monday Verzon

Some of the group dances were not from routine disciplines. But if I had never seen them before, I knew that everyone was enjoying the occasion including the participants and the viewers. The line dancers are in vogue which seem to me just fine. Wahiawa seems to be leading in West Oahu. Only one well known defect, not enough men and everyone can tell that the men line dancing are enjoying it. Stands to reason.

"Enjoyable dance with Aiea and Wahiawa Dance Clubs. The buffet had an
excellent selection of buffet items. And a precision performance by
Wahiawa Ballroom Dance Club." ~ Herb

"The First Noel"

Batteries, I forgot to bring extras, but fortunately I was able to get a couple from Leland and our good friends continued to take pictures. I got enough for this blog and for Dancing in the Dark tomorrow. Being a Crab dinner, the crab was good, however need we say, the rest of feed was delicious too. My teeth are not working so good and Maile always manages to get some for me to take home. Lucky me, I was hungry when I got home. What more can we say about a fine bunch of people?

"We're enjoying the party of Wahiawa Ballroom Dance Club" ~ Linda

"May this evening be enjoyed by all." ~ Augustina

This blog contains almost all about the structure of every social dance and about how understanding this structure can benefit our dance and especially our fun-factor. We will include blogging and feedback as an aspect of dance in our dances and we will find that more people will see happy and relaxed faces on our dancers when they dance. We can also thank our many good fellow dancers that were willing to take these photos that we can share with our fellow reader/dancers in this blog. I have enough left over to go into Dancing in the Dark blog tomorrow.

“We should consider every day lost on which we have not danced at least once.”
