Reborn

Many of the people in the surrounding bedroom communities of Honolulu commute to work in Honolulu every day, and many like to live away from the center. At one time we did have Rapid Transit but it is not in the plans anymore. Makaha to Downtown will take twice as long and three times the humbug.

"We will not let anyone walk through our minds
with their muddy feet."

And some find it more affordable to live within their own borders when they can work within their own borders. But the economic base of a typical bedroom community is housing sales and general retail sales, not industry or technology.

"Keep the Country, Country" Not coined by country people.

Employment opportunities for younger residents of a commuter town or bedroom community may be limited to low-wage service or retail jobs. While most residents of the Oahu bedroom communities are gainfully employed in the larger city. Now with the Rail Fiasco coming in many are realizing their dreams are crashing to the ground. There will be more cars, no one wants the Rail Mess and the traffic will be a nightmare.

The Moanalua Corridor has been the second most populated section of Oahu next to Downtown. And it is in the process of devastation. Fortunately a few people are recognizing the necessity of an Industrial Park in the area. "And I coulda been home in 20 minutes."

"Stranger In Paradise" by Tony Bennett

There will be another Dance Club in the Salt Lake part of the Corridor too. Gotta be far away from the NOISE. And we are here to help in whatevah. What are the present clubs lacking that makes others get the idea? Anyone know? There is the old shopping center just waiting for a nice nightclub. No residences nearby. The Moanalua Corridor will rise again from the Rail Devastation.
