Dancing Fun Windward

By Fred Matsugane, Kailua

Personal Benefits of Ballroom and Nightclub Social Dancing:

On a personal level, dancing helps us all of us ordinary people to balance the male and female aspects of our personality. In our kind of dancing one has the opportunity to learn and understand the many aspects of the two roles of social dance.

This provides us the opportunity to balance the feminine and masculine in our own personality, socially, sexually, sensuously, mentally, and spiritually. We should all be aware that our spirit/soul/body/mind needs this balance. Dancing is one of the very few disciplines that teaches and provides us the tools to learn how to truly “stay in the moment” and to “be in the moment,” because you are required by dancing to do so.

Dancing provides us the opportunity to conquer many small and large fears socially, physically, and personally. These tools will naturally transfer to our personal, business, and social world. Dancing develops personal confidence, pride, self esteem, a sense of accomplishment, and patience.

Dancing helps us to learn how to set our ego aside while we learn new skills. Dancing helps us to gradually be more connected and comfortable with our body. Dancing teaches us how to have FUN when learning something new whether taking classes at a dance club or just having fun in a nightclub.

Most importantly Ballroom and Nightclub Dancing assists us to integrate all levels of who we are into one whole and complete human being! Naturally a dancing human being! Therefore, get out on the dance floor and have fun! Life is dancing with special people! Enjoy life and dance!

Pub's Note: We are still waiting and hoping to get some communication from the Neighbor Islands. We get "flyer kine" stuff but nothing for the readers and potential reader/dancers of these Islands. Sooner or later.
