The Evolving Waianae Coast

Progress for the better as the residents realize that they are equal members on this island of Oahu and they do not have to do as the Fat Cats in Honolulu wish.

"We have made many mistakes, except for those few perfect people
and they know who they are. Life doesn't come with an invitation
and instructions, we live and we learn."

Makaha Studios,  a spin off,  seems to be for the people. And SeaRider Productions at Waianae High School seems to have same intent but is much over ruled by downtown Honolulu. They are pro-Rail - Auwe.We have Waianae Mall in Facebook doing a terrific job of getting the point across. And there is new Waianae Daily, a good start up of local coast news.

The monthly publication Westside Stories is also doing a good job but only once per month. Would be nice if they could get in with Tamura and combine the two for a twice per month publication. Maybe the Waianae Store too. Wow, whatta Coast publication.

"I Remember You" by Don Ho

I have tried to communicate and offer my help but have been ignored. Understandable, they are big shots and we are little shots. No hu, hu because we know where we are headed and must have patience.

Meanwhile the Present Rail Party is still attempting to stop the proposed industrial park in Lualualei. This is a blatant example of downtown manipulation of the facts. They cater to special interests over and above the long term interests of the community and violate good planning principles.

"Walk Through Paradise With Me" by Melveen Leed

The beautiful industrial park in Lualualei will not disrupt the integrity of the agricultural lands in that area that have not been used for Agriculture in the last five thousand years. Look around you and you can see fallow land all to the way to Waipahu. And the owners want 90% of the action for the use.
