Making Headway

I found this on the Internet but I don't know who was the addressee:
"All of the information known to the human race is available at your fingertips, in the phone in your pocket or on whatever device you’re reading this article, but you choose, free will and all, to ignore anything that doesn’t jive with your preconceived notions. Oh, right, you’re a stupid person… “preconceived notions” are things you think you know before learning something new. Go ahead and pop an aspirin. Feeling better? Good. Let’s continue."

There are an awful lot of good dancing people on Oahu. And we know that most are accustomed to dancing in town. However we know that Kapolei, Waipahu and the Central Valley are going to have some dancing. I begin to see a few people from Kalihi coming to dance in Waipahu and Wahiawa. And why not, no matter how you slice it, there is going to be even more traffic in town in the future. And perhaps the people in West Oahu are just nice? The need in West Oahu is Business Parks and the dancing places will come. The residents living in Paradise will "work and play" in their own kuleana.

The young are doing very well and the developing night life is becoming more evident. From there some people will think of a place on the Waainae Coast and on the North Shore. An over 30 group but interested in enjoying themselves with dancing and a few drinks and closer to home. On the Waianae Coast, the saying is there, "I coulda been home in 20 minutes. In Waikiki, it takes me 20 minutes to get out of the Parking Area."

"Social dancers think that it is just an opportunity to lay down some shoe leather
and enjoy the movement to their kind of good music and closer to home."
