The Pearly Gates
One of Trump's good guys dies and manages to pay his way to the pearly gates. He is carrying a heavy suitcase. And Saint Peter at the gate, tells him he may not be allowed to bring it in. The guy is frantic and says, "But I went to a lot of trouble to get this in." Saint Peter is nice guy and says, "Alright, let's see what's in it." The guy opens up the suitcase and it is full of gold bricks. Saint Peter's jaw drops, "You brought pavement?"
Latin Music on Oahu is generally generated in night clubs specializing in Bachata and Salsa. If we acknowledge the different age group dancers, Night Clubs will generally have the people under 35. In the Social Clubs, Latin dancing has Rumba, Cha Cha Cha. Samba, Mambo and Tango and the crowds are generally over 30. There are social dance club DJs that will play some very good Bachata and Salsa music but not too big a crowd on the dance floor.
Many social dancers seem to know that most partner dancing on Oahu is clearly divided into the younger division and the more experienced dancers. We should let the young enjoy their way and wherever. They will eventually become experienced. They may even attend social dances and be fans of a Tango club. Why not? Meanwhile the more experienced dancers are now pretty sure what the oldies but goodies are. Many Classics will remain at the top for rest of this century. And the dancers will acquire new ones.
