The Practice Party

The Dance Studios on Oahu have been developing very pleasant parties. Many parties like these are called Practice Parties on the Mainland. It has been said that practice makes perfect. With learning to dance, it is no different. Practicing to dance shouldn’t be redundant and boring, so why not make it fun? There is no better way than having a party. A dance practice party is a party where you can practice the steps that you have been working on during your dance classes - wherever, and socialize with your fellow dancers.

The majority of the students on Oahu take dance lessons because they want to be better, dancing at social clubs or night clubs. Attending a practice party at a studio is perfect place to dance the moves you know well and to try out your new skills in a comfortable setting. At our dance practice parties on Oahu, there will be many people dancing on the floor at once. Whether you have only taken one dance lesson or have been going to dance classes for many years, attending a practice party will not be just fun but also a great learning experience for you.

The dancing night club crowd is gradually changing into TWO. The "Young" and the more experience dancers. This division was recognized by the young even before my time, many years ago. "Never trust anyone over 30." It seems like a good division to apply to our people. The young will stick to their ever changing fads, new dances and the latest in new music and we should let them, don't knock it. The more experienced dancers will prefer the classics in music and there are so many. And the "Rumba" is a dance that is learned constantly, and gets more enjoyable as time goes by with the "Oldies but Goodies" music.
