Smash Hit in Wahiawa

Went on Friday evening, the wonderful Handi Van taking me there and bringing me back home. So many nice people there having fun dancing to the excellent music laid down by DJ Leland Yagi. So many of the steady members willing to help out. Makes one feel good to see all that goodwill and friendly atmosphere.

 “At sunset, the blue sky paints itself with dark colors and
joyfully dances to the music of the evening breeze.”

Vocals: A musical selection with one or more people singing, along with the Harmony and the Melody. This, of course, is of no interest to beginners. This is appreciated by social dancers with some experience dancing for fun for then, they have their favorites. They are able to use the right side of the brain when dancing. May be a little ways down the road. Meanwhile, dance your own way, you are not breaking any laws.

"Blogging may be hard for one person when it becomes the grind required
to stay interesting and relevant. So the Guest Bloggers are a must."

"Rum And Coca-Cola" ... Andrews Sisters

The dances of the natives of Latin America put emphasis on the movement of the dancer’s body and not the feet. In the first century after the arrival of the first illegals, rumba tune was considered to be less significant than the intricate cross rhythms offered by a striking of bottles, spoons and pots. In the 20th century it included card board boxes. The music mixed very slowly with the European more than the African.

“Social dancers know that there are two ways to be fooled. One is to believe what isn't true;
the other is to refuse to believe what is true.”
