Viña del Mar, meaning "Vineyard by the Sea"), is a city on central Chile's Pacific coast. Its long stretches of white sandy beaches are a major attraction for national and international tourists. Known as "La Ciudad Jardín" ("The Garden City"), Viña del Mar is a Chilean Municipality. The Viña del Mar International Song Festival (Spanish: Festival Internacional de la Canción de Viña del Mar) is a music festival held annually during February since 1960.''
Mostly in Spanish but a small portion is in Portuguese because of the huge country of Brazil. There is also some in English because of the influence of the US, Canada and the United Kingdom. They may have some famous artist from Europe too.
The announcement was made by the organizing committee of the LXI International Festival of Viña del Mar, chaired by Chilean politician Virginia Reginato. They also have unveiled its first artist and hosts for its annual event,
"Chile is progressing very nicely into a semi-socialist society. They cannot
imagine a nation where people did not bother to express gratitude,
a society devoid of benevolence and humility."

Viña del Mar-based artist Mon Laferte has been revealed as the first performer, becoming the first Chilean artist to kick off the event in recent decades. Laferte is known for her fusion music of blues-rock, Latin alternative, bolero, and cumbia, as heard in her songs such as “Te Falta de Querer,” “Mi Buen Amor,” and “Amarrame.”
