I told Karen at the Shindig that I brought a container and I asked for a piece of the action and Karen obliged very nicely, The place was already developing a good crowd. And going all around said my hellos to everyone. I am getting to know a lot of people and I can consider myself fortunate.
It soon became apparently that this was a different type of social. And who says it has to be a certain way? The difference in presentation is what can be appealing. I met Kevin and he could handle the camera and he took most of these pictures. We can get very lucky sometimes.
These good photos will go into the slide show on the
Ewa Bus Stop and Dancing in the Dark blogs.
Nice to see some Kapolei members and my first quote from a very good dance friend. Nora Dionisio:
"It is always great to see old friends here at the Pearlridge Social. Good Food, Great Company." ~Nora
Looking good on both Stages.
"A reason, and a place to see old friends like Pepe, Ida Lebowski, Hermie and Chris Patao - they are reasons we started dancing." ~Marie and Paul
Da Kine dancing we are all about. Terrific. They can quit their day jobs and go the exhibition route. Maybe only 5 Gs per week to start but it could lead to real money.
Went around and finally got a chance to ask Shirley,
President of HBDA for her quote:
"This has been a wonderful evening with so many talented people. The food and the people were awesome. Thanks, very much for the beautiful hospitality of the Pearlridge Chapter."
Aloha, Herb and Shirley Ota.
They were going great guns.
Finally got around to getting a quote from one of the best photographers, we have ever had. We are always looking for a photographer who want to get his/her own pictures, is all. Their viewpoint and we got some beauts here. Email me, I misplaced your address and thanks, Kevin.
"We feel honored to be guests of the Pearlridge Chapter of HBDA for their social. What a great evening of dancing, entertainment and ohana. We had a fantastic time with everyone! Thank You for introducing us to the event. Aloha."
Kevin and Julie Hall.
