The New Dance Club

The most appropriate place in the Moanalua Corridor would be in the Aliamanu, Salt Lake area. So far the details are sketchy and nothing is expected until next year. It definitely would lean towards a more public organization and less of an oligarchy, benevolent as it has been.

Friendship is unnecessary, like philosophy, like art ...
It has no survival value; rather it is one of those
things  that give value to survival.

There would be two sets of membership, the choice up to the member. AA, which means vote and participate in the organization, such as Officers and the Board of Directors. The A class which would be as the ordinary members as they are today. They want to take lessons, attend the socials and other events, go to other clubs if they wish and generally not committed to anything.

A Reminder! No Need?

The dancing will include most the partner dances which are danced on Oahu today and everyone is welcome, regardless of age. Membership is not required (but it is encouraged) just a desire to have fun! Dance classes will be from beginner classes, for those with no experience and two left feet, to intermediate stages only. No advance (exhibition levels) you can get those anywhere. And no partner is required!

Their purpose is to promote ballroom dancing for dancers of all ages and most levels of experience. During lessons and at socials, dancers are encouraged to exchange partners to accelerate the process of learning to lead and follow. As soon a place is found there will be regular socials twice per month. And everyone will look forward to dancing with you!

They will make attempts to enjoy visiting other clubs and hosting other clubs at their dances.  They welcome couples, singles and students to their dances.  They will encourage dressing up. This is a party. NO JEANS, PLEASE! And there no truth to the Rumor of a keg of beer at every social.
