Trip to Honolulu

I made the deal with Grey Henry, the famous Salsaman to be there at the Buho Cantina in Waikiki on Tuesday at about 8:30 PM. The entire thing was a failure, from the beginning except that I learned something from it. And at my age, that is what counts.

Dis Da Blog that may make it to Independence
I got the wrong time schedule for the C bus and just missed it. Went back home and got the time for the next one and just made it. Got to Ala Moana Center in one hour and let me tell you, the Rail Disaster will never beat that in a million years. Big Secret. Ben Cayetano and his people knew this.

In town, I found out the last #8 bus would be at some time after ten pm. Not much time to get all the information that I needed. I checked and found other alternatives, I could get the #42 bus straight to Waipahu and then transfer to the #40 bus there to Nanakuli. Not bad.

I found Buho Cantina and Greg Henry, giving classes in what looked like Merengue. A few more people came in and then I thought I would take a picture and test the camera. Wow, I completely forgot to install the memory card. I excused myself and tried to find somewhere to buy a cheap memory card. No way.

I decide to go back home and forgot to get some ice but it was interesting anyway. Got the first #8 bus going back to Ala Moana Center. And got off the Makai Side looking for somewhere to get some ice. I asked at the local MacDonalds and they gave me a cup of ice free. Hey, I am not going to talk stink about these people.

Poured it into my flask and I was just fine before the #40 bus got there. Nice friendly and helpful people and I got a good seat, took two spaces and I do feel guilty but then most of the standing people are young people. No hu hu. And I got on some of my videos to enjoy on the trip home. Amazing that I got home at eleven. I couldn't believe it.
