Since International style is so well entrenched in town, then the Waianae Coast is a natural to extend itself into the American Style of dance. There will be a natural spin off into Universal, Street, Cultural, Social or whatever, and the terminology is still in process. We do need standardization so that we can dance with each other. But down town is still solid.

"I  am just about on par with a horse stuck in a muddy swamp, but I dance and I enjoy myself."

They had a big competition a few years back between American and International styles of dance. The American style won. and since then the International people have not been interested in further competitions of that kind. I don't know why. But many people in the American Style of Dance have made their own conclusion.

Whatever, the West is really moving in the direction of dance and the young will always have their thing. Although most people still are not sure what is happening. Some of the get togethers in the West have been astounding. So many people dancing and having fun and having a ball. The Night Club contingent has been very clear on their kind of dancing to their music and it does make sense. This has been on the other side of the planet, so to speak, so it has been really mind blowing and it will go island wide.
