The Middle Group and the largest, naturally, has a few levels in it, but suffice it to say that they are really and truly enjoying the movement to that beautiful Rumba music out there. Just about the most beautiful music in the world. And learning something new everyday makes their lives that much more interesting. In the main, they consider themselves social dancers. And actually they are da reel teeng.
But then there are the few elite, the top of the line and many in the International Style. They have learned, that how it looks may be what counts. To be seen becomes their main focus. They become the exhibition and the competition dancers and with good cause. It is something different. And a big turn off for social dancers is to be instructed into doing a movement because it looks better according to the judges.

On You Tube, you can see an exhibition dance that looks beautiful, but you cannot see doing it that way on the social dance floor. Never! And in the Night Club scene it is frowned upon. Which leads us to something else.
Quite another big question is, are dancers fit? At an advanced level dancers need to be very fit. They may not have the bulky look of a football team but as dancers we should know, there is more to fitness than muscles. Dancers are well known for aerobic fitness, as their level increases so does their speed, balance and strength.

Everyone at some point has watched a ballroom couple glide effortlessly across the floor. They make it look so easy but the reality is very different. And the point is, can we live with each other? Or should we go our separate ways?
