"No one has ever made themselves great by showing

In Honolulu, the Night Clubs usually open after ten but no one is really there until midnight, but by then there is a line. In West Oahu, it can get started by 7 pm and you should have an OK crowd by 9 pm. Three or four hours of fun is just about enough and you are ready to go home at midnight. Some people stay until one, Fine.
Since most clubs that have a good size dance floor already know that dancers are not drunks, they have a cover charge of about $20 for the guys and $10 for the ladies. And on the mainland they are making money selling non-alcoholic drinks and food snacks in dancing places. Then there are ways to get on the guest list like having friends in the club.
In Honolulu, the crowd is mainly tourists, transplants to Hawaii, and a smattering of locals that know people from the clubs. In the West they are mostly locals and they demand legit music, none of this rap business and the older more experience dancers go for the oldies but goodies. These differences can give the clubs and the dancers a lot of choices.
Parking in Honolulu is a big problem. You can never just park on the street. And many places have only valet parking which is nice. They take care of your car better than just a parking area. For those that are not locals, it may be better to take a cab or catch a ride. Driving in Waikiki ain't no joke. In some places it may take 20 minutes just to get out of the parking area. In the West many of us can get home in 20 minutes.
