The North Shore

For the social dance fans on Oahu interested in dance information try, Dance Fever Oahu web site and any of Frank's Blogs. They have much good and interesting information that is unavailable to me. And for you beginners out there, yes, you can learn to dance by just dancing and enjoying the movement to music. Of course, most of us know you can also learn to live by just living and enjoy life in the easiest way.The principles are the same.

"Young social dancers are well aware that they can meet
a new romantic interest on the dance floor."

Not in these Trump Plague times of course but when it is acceptable, visit Haleiwa on the North Shore. We have mentioned Haleiwa several times in this blog and we recommend you stick around and enjoy everything this little town has to offer. Relatively close by for us living in Mililani, the town is full of unique shops and boutiques and bristling with fantastic places that serve up some amazing food. You’ll pick up on the town’s relaxed, surfer vibes straight away, and you won’t be able to help yourself but to unwind and chill like the locals.

The northern hemisphere winter months on the North Shore see a concentration of surfing activity, taking advantage of swells originating in the stormy North Pacific. Notable surfing spots include Waimea Bay and Sunset Beach. The spot of Ehukai Beach, commonly known as the Banzai Pipeline, is the most notable surfing spot on the North Shore, and is considered a prime spot for competitions due to its close proximity to the beach, giving spectators, judges, and photographers a great view. The North Shore is considered to be the surfing mecca of the world. Every December, the area hosts three competitions, which make up the Triple Crown of Surfing.
