Out and about: Found Sunway @ the LBLE Bar!

Used to dance to Sunway @ the now defunct "Pearl." Love Sunway's music. Light, contemporary and very danceable.

A lot of the places she has performed at over the years didn't allow dance so been jonesing. Saw on her site that she performed @ the LBLE lobby bar Thurs/Fri. in the former Prince Kuhio now a Hilton. I decided to check it out Friday w/Sarah.

We drove up the ramp to the entrance for the $3 for 4 hours valet parking. Walked into the lobby and spied the LBLE bar straight ahead. There was a rug in front of the band and the up front seating but the seating in the back was the smooth tile that covers the lobby.

We took a very comfortable 2 top in the back as the music started. (6-9 PM) I asked our server if dancing was allowed and she said that they love it when people dance. She shared that Thursday there were a bunch of people having a dance party.

Sunway's voice was as amazing as ever and her backup was tight and very danceable even without sequencing. The Bass set a strong tempo owning the 1 and 3 beat which the guitar riffs and strumming complimented completing the music.

We ordered and then got up and did it by our table. The tile is fast so moving was effortless. The three hours flew by and too soon it was over. definitely keeping Sunway on our dance card.
