Numerous dance clubs line the streets of Honolulu, most making a home in Waikiki, and range from dance hall, to artsy hip places, gay bars, and even a western cowboy inspired place for a different type. Most people attending are social dancers and interested in the social aspects of the music and dance. There's something here for anyone who's looking for a fun night on the town.

However the traffic is pretty bad and when the Rail Disaster is completed it will be worse. There are places on the outskirts of Oahu that are beginning to develop. The Central Valley is leading the way with Wahiawa Ballroom Dance Club, Dot's In Wahiawa and Just Tacos in Mililani and a possible fourth in Waipio or Waikele. Kapolei is falling behind. And Tacos And More in Waianae has Live Music on Wednesday and Thursday.

Then there are "Oldies but Goodies.? The DJs play good music and are always on the lookout to get the latest and the best. In this century there has been a growing group of dance fans with their preference for the oldies but goodies. These more experienced social dancers have a good memory for the terrific classics that are emerging from the last century. And Live Music has been the answer.
