Nightlife On Oahu

Honolulu is so nicely decorated with swaying palm trees and white sandy beaches but that doesn't mean the city is lacking in dance clubs. They gottem! Hot spots all over for nightlife to include dancing  They have classy and hip drinks, live bands and DJ music and fellow dancers to make a fun crowd. Some of the clubs are open till 3 or 4 a.m. so you can't beat the hours anywhere else on Oahu.

is not mere philanthropy. It is a moral obligation." ~ Pope Francis

Numerous dance clubs line the streets of Honolulu, most making a home in Waikiki, and range from dance hall, to artsy hip places, gay bars, and even a western cowboy inspired place for a different type. Most people attending are social dancers and interested in the social aspects of the music and dance. There's something here for anyone who's looking for a fun night on the town.

However the traffic is pretty bad and when the Rail Disaster is completed it will be worse. There are places on the outskirts of Oahu that are beginning to develop. The Central Valley is leading the way with Wahiawa Ballroom Dance Club, Dot's In Wahiawa and Just Tacos in Mililani and a possible fourth in Waipio or Waikele. Kapolei is falling  behind. And Tacos And More in Waianae has Live Music on Wednesday and Thursday.

In this century there has been a growing group of dance fans with their preference for the oldies but goodies. These more experienced social dancers have a good memory for the terrific classics that are emerging from the last century. And Live Music has been the answer.
