The New Set Up

Estimated from a few sources: There are about 50000 social partner dancers on Oahu (5%) of all kinds. However as far as ballroom type social dancers, they are only about half, or approximately 25000. I personally think it is a lot less, but it still gives us a good size group to work with.

"We all understand that sometimes it is difficult to decide
whether we are tired, or just lazy."

Most everything for social dance communication is available now in our seven blogs. And they are set up to allow for the minimum of commitment on any one's part. Starting from the top, all Administrators have nothing they must do but they can keep the blog going. And when I leave a blog they can do whatever they wish to do with it and includes deleting me.

The Guest Author is a very important part of the equation. They have in effect a personal blog within the regular dance blog. They can open, post, delete, save, publish and get out all without saying boo to anyone. Since it is in their name, they can say what they wish and they will be solely responsible Their separate, unique and individual opinion is what will make these blogs interesting and run the hits up through the roof. We will have social media but we are not there yet.

The Information Contributors (the Two Centers,) can email whatever information they think pertinent to the reader/dancers, Any Guest Author would be willing to share it with our fellow dancers. Photos and other graphics can be sent too. The Guest Authors can then blog it anyway they wish. This is all very valuable information for a dance blog on Oahu.

At the beginning of April, the top three blogs remain, Town Dancer, Platinum Horseshoe and Dancing Nights. The rest are Blogging Hawaii, Dancing in the Dark, Extrava Danza and Ritmo Mestizo. We shall know more in a week. My stats are on automatic average hits per day. They tend to pretty well stabilized by the tenth.

"When it first began, a blog was a simple online diary, where the blog
author\ would pen down his or her thoughts. This definition has
evolved to the many types we have now and we shall
continue to redefine our blogs."
