Update

Nearing the end of the month, the entire enchilada looks good. Not exactly what I want but I think the readers should decide and they are doing that quite adequately. Of course, more readers and it will be more accurate yet.

"If a thousand old beliefs were ruined in our march to truth we must still march on."

Town Dancer is of course leading the way. The results are mostly because of Calvin Ota and Richard Sun. I just provide the ordinary. Since all the other publications have excluded International Style, I was hoping to get someone in this blog to help back the Internationals up.

The Internationals have a lot of good things going if you just read a little of Calvin. And then there is Blackpool, - his reports push the hits up through the roof and are read all over the islands. I keep reminding people that we don't need clones, but we sure could learn a lot from Calvin and Richard. The others will have more opportunities as time goes by, but it will be their play.

" Reconsider Baby" - Elvis Presley

Honolulu Dance Guide is firmly in second place. Though they are a blog, they operate like a very super updated Web site which works out just fine. Their preference seems to cover the live music scene which is commendable. And a good thing is that many believe in Latin music to be danced to Latin dancing, Cute? They adhere to American Style of Dance with the acceptance of all the other peripherals, line, hustle, nite club 2 step etc.

They are not very aware that most of the social dance clubs on Oahu teach the American Style of Dance and that these social dance clubs also teach Argentine tango, line, salsa, hustle, nite club 2 step etc. They are aware that the music to Latin dancing may not be there. The dancers from both groups can dance with each other very easily. If their groups want to be separate we should respect their wishes and only go to the places where we are accepted.

"Let The Little Girl Dance" - Billy Bland

Oahu And Beyond is firmly in third place and it seems like it is just a little ahead of its time. The effort to include the neighbor islands has not been very successful thus far. Fortunately we still have Richard Sun on deck though we lost Da Spin Doctor. It has fallen quite a bit in the hits. The answer for me is obvious, one Guest Author. And there have been some suggestions of a name change. How about, "Blogging Da Pacific?"

Oahu West is way back but gradually emerging up through all the others. We are getting good kokua from Kapolei Chapter HBDA and they are very well known throughout the islands now. Dance Hawaii membership is holding back a little. I must be making too much money on their good looks, talent, fame and fortune - or something. So all of these people still are not fully aware what a blog does. We must be patient and perhaps some blogs will be deleted.  We must go where we are needed, they make the decisions and we will respect.

Pub's Side Note: To our reader/dancers, please consider yourselves, now and henceforth, and no matter what anyone ever asks of you, free to do any damned thing you want as long as it doesn't hurt someone else unnecessarily.
