WBDC2

Nice. Friday and I was ready when my Handi Van got to my place in Mililani at 6:00 pm. I knew I was too early but that was their schedule and as long as they can get me there, I don't complain. Arrived at the Wahiawa Recreation Center before 6:30 and Leland and Maile were already there. Rod and Rosalie came in before seven and they helped in the set up. Wow, these are crucial people for this terrific shindig. Hours were to be 7:30 to 9:50 but some people were arriving at seven. To me it began to look like it was going to be good night.

"Enthusiastic crowd, dancing the night with awesome music by Leland." ~Monday Verzon

"Great turnout to another Wahiawa Western Social, attendees in cowboy outfits.
~Joyce Sakamoto.

I am having troubles with my cameras and got good help from Leland but no closer to solving the "memory card error."Got some good kokua from Craig and he took a lot of pictures. Mahalo and also all the others willing to get some photos of their fellow dancers to share in the blogs. We also were so lucky to have with us Dr. Paul Laderta, his wife Marie and his mother, Connie with us and Marie was taking a lot of photos. Terrific, and I sure hope she can email me some so I can share with the readers. We were getting a good crowd, the terrific music was going right along with the theme. The themes in Wahiawa really bring out the diversity of social dancing.

"What a turn out !!! Great Social Night !!! Good job, Wahiawa Team 💗💗💖
~Lilipumanos

"Thank you for making this social, Makes me happy." ~Richard Cadaoas

Then break time for some of the best food on this Island, fit for Kings. And I thank Maile for giving me a take home plate I can have one of my best meals of the month. The line dance was just beautiful but somewhat complicated and not that enjoyable for social dancers. The Big Obvious missing was the lack of Men, they lack something if they are not holding onto a woman. The men are going to pick up on this action and some may even get as good as the ones we have now.

"It's wonderful, we can enjoy ourselves while others are mourning grief." Joe and Eleanor.

The Stars of the Show
"We love coming here. Good music, good people, good food, and good fun.
Thank you for this wonderful club. ~Donna and Andy Ng.

Then we had the surprise of the evening, an exhibition dance, a beautiful Filipino Hawaiian dance by a couple of the best members of this club. Something that does not usually happen at a social dance, and it was most appropriate and appreciated by all. The dancing fun was still going strong at nine. I went over to the door and sat down to wait for my Handi Van. It was just few minutes late and I got home at 9:30, Turned the computer on and made myself a Rum and Coke and prepared to eat. I lost my Depression somewhere. Good riddance.

"Wahiawa Ballroom folks are so positive and welcoming. Monthly get togethers give us the opportunity to practice what we learn. The instructors are so patient and help us
whenever we don't quite get a step. Come join us." ~Sherri

"It's a pleasure to come and enjoy, friends and good music - it's refreshing and joyous
- I could not bring my horse tonight - Hee Haw !" Lew - Faith.

"For us, the social dancers there is no real ending. It's just the place
where we stopped the story. Happy Dancing."
