Covid 19 on Oahu

Bad news, we have 11 dead on Oahu, and 5 on Maui and better news of zero dead on the other neighbor islands. The Good news is that percentage wise Hawaii is doing better than most States. We are more into recommended precautions. Masks and six feet social distancing. Some places are opening up and many of us are on pins and needles waiting for the results. If the deaths go up, there will be a drastic closing up. Georgia and Florida are already seeing more dead. But they are Trump people and will blame Hillary.

" Social dancers many times, against all odds, against all logic, still can have hope.”

The Mayor has cancelled all events of 50 or more people on city land through May. The City is also closing all indoor facilities and not allowing group practices, sports practices, ballroom dancing etc. The Mayor strongly recommends that private sectors do the same. Hanauma Bay is also closed. Beach parks, parks, courts and ball fields remain open. There are some openings and we will have some results by the end of the month.

"You Live as long as you dance" – Rudolf Nureyev

This inspiring quote by Rudolf Nureyev considered the world's greatest male dancer gives us a profound sense of what can happen if we embrace dance. And we are not even talking about professional dance. Dance in just its pure form, performed for the sole purpose of letting overabundant joy spill out of our hearts is enlivening.

"Social dancers believe that they may begin to die when
they cease to expect anything good from tomorrow."
