The real solo dance is just dancing by yourself. And yes, it is very different and usually done as an exhibition. A solo dance is danced by an individual dancing alone. It is nice because if anything goes wrong in a solo, they can make it up as they go along without anyone knowing and it will look just fine. It is rarely done in our local dance scene.
That is different from groups of individuals dancing simultaneously in a coordinated manner. Line Dancing is the most popular of the collective solo dances on the Island of Oahu at the moment and it may have attained its point of diminishing returns as separate groups. However, they seem to become a fixed intermission dance and anyone can get in. And the only negative is LAGS,
We are gradually adjusting to staying home with the hope that it will end soon. Hawaii is doing very well, with no deaths on the other islands except Oahu and Maui. The World Wide standards are testing, masks and social distance and that is what we are doing. And let us keep away from the Trump Protesters. They are more likely to be contaminated. And I sure hope they keep away from me and my friends. They can infect their own group all they want, just keep away the hell away from me.
