Ballroom Dancing on Oahu in the nineties used to be like a Religion. Some could say in all seriousness, "I have the truth and everyone else is wrong." Some of you may remember what it was like in those days. At their peak, during the nineties we had already lost more than twenty percent of our dancers. That is, the ones that danced socially.
In some disciplines: "It is better to look good than to feel good."
Now as new dancers come in they are becoming aware that there is no one on this earth that can tell anyone the correct way to dance. Perhaps, in the Russian Style, they can tell you that it is correct or incorrect according to the Russian style, but not the "blanket accusation" that we had been hearing. "We dance it correctly."

The nerve of some people thinking that the Argentines don't know anything about dancing Tango. Or that the Brazilians don't know anything about dancing Samba. Now they proceed to tell you the correct way of doing it. This is hilarious throughout Latin America. That takes a lotta nerve."La Media Luz" por Julio Igllesias
Perhaps the Germans have a style in which they dance a certain way. No hu hu, of course, dancing any other way may be incorrect according to their style but, anyone should be able to understand that, even me. Specially if it is to be judged. It is their way and we certainly should have a little respect. Meanwhile may we dance our dance our way?
Perfect, right across from where I live. Dream On, fellow dancers.
I could walk home in five minutes.
