This Blog

Here we are almost 20 years into the 21st century and many of our reader/dancers are not fully aware of the wealth of information on the Internet, Yes, there is an awful lot of crap out there too, We would like our reader/dancers to know the difference between a Web and a Blog site. Web sites are usually beautiful and very informative but they are more static and not frequently updated. A blog (shortening of “weblog”) is an online journal or informational website displaying information in the reverse chronological order, with latest posts appearing first. They are usually updated frequently.

"Social dancing is a great way to meet new people, have interesting
weekly dance classes and happy dances to attend."

It is a platform where the blogger or a group of bloggers share their views on an area of interest and expertise. There are many reasons for starting a personal blog and for us, social dancers, the reasons are more social than personal. As a new dance blog, we rely on blogging to help us communicate with the possible reader/dancers and grab their attention. In this day and age, without blogging, the dance groups may be less relevant and perhaps become invisible, whereas getting into a blog makes them searchable and competitive. So, the main purpose of a blog is to connect them to the relevant audience.

Another one is to boost their traffic and send quality leads to all their dance functions. The more frequent and better your blog posts are, the higher the chances for your blog site to get discovered and visited by your target audience. Which means, a blog is an effective lead generation tool. But a blog also allows you to showcase the authority of the Bloggers. When they use their knowledge for creating informative and engaging posts, it builds trust with their audience. Great blogging makes your group look more credible. It ensures presence and authority at the same time.

"Every dancer who got to where they are, had to begin from where they were."
