Blog Needs and Must Haves

It is coming out slowly but very nicely. I looked around and couldn't find much outside information on my present conclusions. What we need to make our blogosphere more effective, that is, our type of blogs. Of course, dance blogs on this island are still much in the process of defining themselves.

"An utterance may be worth more than the truth, the reason it contains -
without the slightest regard to the author of it."

The Occasional Contributor: This person is willing to set down his or her opinion on some dance subject but wants no further commitments for whatever the reason. They have the right to their wishes and we should be grateful for their contributions. The results, are more hits so we spread the word.

The Regular Information and/or Photo Contributor is one who is willing to share a few Items with their fellow dancers but with just an email to convey the information. This, of course, is one of the solid bricks in our information gathering and sharing and it usually short and sweet and we don't get enough of those.

The Guest Author, the Diamond Mine. No matter who the person is or how much or how little they write, it is eagerly accepted by the reader/dancers of our blogs. This keeps evading the possible Guest Authors,  just the View Point of the Individual, that is it. With a few more of these we would surely double the hits we have now.

Is there room for this blog on this Island?

This includes not only the Island of Oahu but also the Neighbor Islands. Our stats from Google also indicate a larger following developing in the Pacific Basin. The Philippines were hardly a blip a year ago and now in fifth place among all the countries in the world. This is flabbergasting. The barrier or goal I had set up was 334 average hits per day for our eight blogs. (10000 hits per 30 day month.) We are well  over that now and it is a matter of filling in Guest Authors and getting rid of the best blogs.

"Of the dancers, by the dancers and for the dancers"

All the dancers? Of course not, they do not all want to be involved and we must respect. Hopefully we can convince more people to join in our unique social media for the benefit of all our reader/dancers.
