Rained Out

Had a nice Sunday except for the light drizzles in the morning. Then in the afternoon when I thought of getting ready to go, it began to rain. I check the Internet and it said Possible Thunderstorms. I waited a couple hours and decided to postpone it. Really did not buy a ticket for nothing, it was for a good cause.

It has happened before, but clear weather in Nanakuli and raining in town. Then I can make to whatever function and be a little presentable. Happened once since I have been here. Then coming back home, nice and clear then a little rain as we approached Nanakuli. By the time I got off the bus it was coming down in buckets. It can even be exhilarating, no hu-hu, stomp around before getting in the lobby and once home easy to get out of the wet clothes and get into something comfortable.

Unfortunately, there will be no one at the function that would be willing to share the happy times and a couple photos with their fellow reader/dancers. Too bad. In regular journalism, reporters may split their time between working in a newsroom and going out to witness events or interview people and reporters may be assigned a specific beat or area of coverage. Here we all do whatever we damn well please.

Truck Drivers: Men who lead using excessive force including using two hands to turn a lady. Of course it may be acquired in part from dancing with "trucks." However this couldn’t happen too often in our dance scene, for our ladies are usually ladies.

From the Spenser Dance Centre News Letter (London.) "Carry the lady as if she is a tray of drinks - the most beautiful crystal glasses containing the very best champagne; Do not spill a drop."

Pub's Side Note; Polygram Records, Warner Brothers and Keebler Cracker have merged and the new company will be called Poly-Warner-Cracker.
