The Reader/Dancers

We are getting closer to a good definition of the reader/dancers on this Island. For our dance blogs, they are the most important faction out there. There are a lot more of them than I realized. Honolulu Dance Guide has proven that the Nightclub group interested in live music and dancing in the American Style of Dance, may very well be a group almost as big as our local cultural dance scene.

"People are generally more mindful of wrongs than of benefits."

Hits are a very important measure of information distribution. Honolulu Dance Guide has been very nicely going up in hits at a bigger percentage than all our other blogs. By the end of the month the average hits per day may surpass our famous Town Dancer blog. Don't knock it, we should all try to please the reader/dancers and their results are what counts. Perhaps we can learn from them.

For sure our best feature is the Guest Author, whether only as a one time contributor or as a steady Guest Author such as Calvin or Richard. They can get in and out on their own and have almost no parameters so they write whatever and whenever they damn well please. As it stands at present, Town Dancer could very nicely accommodate two or three regular Guest Authors. They could publish only once a month and guaranteed, no other blog could ever catch up in hits.!

"You Keep Me Hangin' On" by the Supremes

And we have perhaps one hundred very capable and possible Guest Authors out there that feel that perhaps later. Now is the time and I mean the reader/dancers are the ones that benefit. They are gradually being provided with less club propaganda and more "dancer" information. Of course, for all of us, club doings are an important part of our social media communication.

Perhaps we can get someone like Aunty Maile from WBDC, she only informs on WBDC. But let's face it, any other club has the same right.  Dig? And the entire enchilada becomes Social Media and we are getting there. The entire dancing environment unfolds for everyone to see. Private Clubs? They went thataway!

Then of course, with three more Guest Authors in Town Dancer I could gradually wean myself out of there and when they are ready, I could resign and they would be on their own and breaking all records in hits. Guaranteed! I could then go on my merry way working on the rest of the blogs, working on getting rid of the next best one in line.

Pub's Side Note: Another very pleasant and clear result is the winding down of the Creative Researchers And Producers. They are losing their grip! Calls for another Rum & Coke.
