The Hit Parade

Going into the last half of the month, it is Town Dancer in front and going up in hits slowly but steadily, Occasional spurts when Calvin blogs and then comes down before going into its upward climb again. Should reach 167 average hits per day very soon. (5000 hits for a 30 day month,) The Guest Authors that are needed are for making this the first independent dance blog in Hawaii. This is important because it could set the precedent for making the other blogs independent.

"A dance club's success is tied to the dance member's satisfaction."

Honolulu Dance Guide was battling for second place with Oahu And Beyond for over six months and then surged on ahead. Now well over sixty daily points ahead of Oahu And Beyond. The counters clearly indicate the heavy presence of their reader/dancers.

They cover mainly the Live music section of dancing in town and the American Style of dance. This also includes the other peripherals like Tango, Swing and Salsa. They are beholden to no particular social club and this is important because of the changing membership in the top social clubs. I had no idea there was such a huge crowd of likeminded dancers.

"At Last" by Glenn Miller, vocals by Ray Eberle

So to get Oahu And Beyond rolling, we need someone that can cover a few spots in the Live music section just to give our readers the added perspective from someone else. For our blogs the different opinions are the real meat and potatoes of our social media. Two or three times a month would really add the needed spice. Of course, the neighbor islands are not wide open and waiting. But we may eventually convince them that we mean well.

The silence from the Windward section has been deafening. There is something there and there will be more but as yet everyone would rather keep it a secret. Arthur Murray recently opened a new branch in Kailua and seems to be doing just fine. The new NxNW Oahu blog was created just to cover the dancing in that section. We will just be patient and wait to make contact.

"It's All Right" by the Impressions

The total hits for all our eight blogs is well over the magic 334 average hits per day. (10000 hits per 30 day month.) Another couple months should get us to the 400 and that means 12000 hits per month and we will be making contact with somebody throughout the Pacific Rim.

The West is still in process of working for the dancers. The Rail Calamity has thrown most things out of whack and many have been cancelled. The bus system has worsened and the "cattle cars" are packed to the gills. (They are low class people anyway?) There will be a new dance club, for sure, probably in the Ewa Beach or Waipio section. But the members will have to have their own automobile transportation.

The North Shore will also join sometime in the future, when they get rid of the downtown deal of "Keep the country, country." spend your money in Honolulu. You gotta spend money on Gas? Hey, why do you think the Gas companies are paying for this propaganda too.

Pub's Side Note: It is slowly forming all by itself, a new dance force, for Truth, Inclusion and Innovation and made "of the dancers, by the dancers and for the dancers." Let it roll!
