Ask any professional blogger and they will tell you that two of the most important things you can do are; monitor visitors to your site and pay attention to the stats. You’ve heard the adage "Anything that can be measured can be improved". Simple site stats can tell you a lot of things, total hits, average hits per day, market share etc. It may not be useful to many people but if you know these, you can improve you blogs.

Knowing the amount of traffic you are getting to your site, as well as where it’s coming from, can help you make some important decisions about where to spend your time. Stats allow you to see traffic patterns on your site, if you have several blogs, it is imperative that you make the various comparisons. Small differences are of no consequence, however one blog that gets ten average hits per day is far different than a blog that gets 100 average hits per day.

Without monitoring the traffic to your web or blog sites you won’t know if you need to make changes in order to get people reading. The stats we get for free on most blogs are not absolutely accurate but they are a very useful and valuable tool in getting your blogsite optimized. They can tell you if the changes you make are having a positive or negative effect on traffic.

One of the worse mistakes a blogmaster can make is to ignore stats and just "fly by the seat of their pants". "Anything that can be measured can be improved," but you can’t improve anything unless you measure it. The counter is a big tool to start monitoring and improving your blogsite, get hot, baby!

Pub's Additional Note: Town Dancer is still Toppa Da Adda blogs, but your suspicions, I fear, are correct. Honolulu Dance Guide is catching up. Their kind of dancers are there and they are interested in live music and American Style of Dance. These people are the ones that should make these decisions and they are doing it.

They are getting more of these same kind of dancers and it is looking more lively every day. Dis action gotta overflow to the North and East Shores. The West is going to be a little too rough because of the rail disaster. But the North and East shores are just waiting for something li-dis. Then there is Rock And Jazz Hawaii with most of their interest in the listening end of the live bands. They do a terrific job too as many find it easy to meld with the other groups in the Nightclub scene.

This has been a long overdue environment to be analyzed. A dance blog is what all "dance websites would like to be" updated on a regular basis, containing content that is of interest to a select or target audience. Information easy to update and change. Our readers are gradually picking up on this action and everyone is waiting for the Guest Author.
